MentorSphere is a portal to your mentoring resources. OK, I know, you're next question is "What is a mentoring resource?"

They are different things for different people, depending on their dreams and objectives and social network. Deciding what is appropriate for you is an intensely personal decision and no web site can provide an easy answer to what will work for you.

Instead, we suggest that you read the series of blog posts called "The Art of Mentoring" to get a better idea of how you can manage and maintain your own mentoring resources.

There are several ways to use the Help section :

We are currently updating the help files with instructional videos that will appear once you have followed Step 4 below. You may click on the "Play" button for a tutorial of the topic you have requested.

Step 1: Look on the left side of the page under the "People's Tags" you will see a list of words that will allow you to sort relevant information about the topic you are looking for listed in alphabetical order.

Step 2: Scroll down the Help Page until you see a relevant "Tag" or "Key Word" pertaining the topic you would like to learn more about and select this Tag.

Step 3: Scroll down the page until you find the title that best matches the topic you are looking for help on.

Step 4: Click on the title of the help file that was described in step: 3.

Be sure to check back often as this is list is constantly updated with every new feature released to the system as well as from feedback based on users such as yourself.

Step 1: Select a user name and password 1. From the homepage, click on either “Go” or “Sign Up”

2. Fill in your User Name

3. Fill in your Password

4. Confirm your Password by retyping it in to the “Confirm Password” field

Step 2: Tell us about yourself

5. Fill in your First Name

6. Fill in your Last Name

7. Fill in your Email Address

Step 3: Click "Continue" to submit the requested information

NOTE: The User Name you choose here cannot be changed & will be the User Name by which you will be known throughout UIF Virtual Mentor Website.

NOTE: It is a good idea to make note of your User Name & Password in a safe place.

Step 1: From the homepage, simply enter your user name and password in the “Log In” box on the top left of the homepage.

Step 2: Click the "Log In" button

Step 3: Login is complete when you reach your “My MentorSphere™” Page

Step 1: From the homepage, click on the “Forgot Password” link on the top right within the “Log In” box”

Step 2: On the following page, enter the “Email Address” you used when you registered with MentorSphere.com for the first time

Step 3: Click the “Continue” button, this will bring you the “Lost Username/Password” confirmation page (You will be sent an email)

Step 4: Check your email inbox for an email titled “UIF Credentials”

Step 5: In email, you will be instructed to click on a link that will bring you to the “Create New Password” page

Step 6: Fill in your Password

Step 7: Confirm your Password by retyping it in to the “Confirm Password” field

Step 8: Click the “Continue” button to complete the process

Step 9: Sign into MentorSphere.com

Step 1: From your “My MentorSphere™” Page click the “Edit My Profile” on the top left side of the page under the avatar

Step 2: Scroll down the “edit” page until you get to the Password heading

Step 3: Click on the “Change Password” link, this will bring you to the change password page

Step 4: Fill in your Current Password

Step 5: Fill in your New Password

Step 6: Confirm your New Password by retyping it in to the “Confirm Password” field

Step 7: Click “OK” to complete changing your password NOTE: It is a good idea to make note of your User Name & Password in a safe place.

Unfortunately, you cannot change your Username. The Username you choose when you register cannot be changed & this will be the Username by which you will be known throughout UIF Virtual Mentor Website™.

We plan to provide this capability in a future release of the platform.

Step 1: From your “My MentorSphere™” Page click the “Edit My Profile” on the top left side of the page under the avatar

Step 2: Scroll down to “Email Options”

Step 3: Enter your New Email address in the “Private Email” Field

Step 4: Click "Save" button

Step 2: Scroll down the page to view all of the portions of your MentorSphere that are editable

Step 2: Scroll down to the “My Signature and Dreams” box

Step 3: Write your signature in the “Signature” field

Step 4: Write your dreams in the “My Dreams” field

Step 5: Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to complete

Step 1: From your “My MentorSphere™” Page click the “Edit My Profile” on the top left side of the page under the avatar

Step 2: Under the “Avatar” panel select yes to enable your Avatar

Step 3: Click the “Browse” button to select an image from your computer files that will be your Avatar

Step 4: Once you have selected the file you want to use, click the “Update” button to upload your image

Step 5: Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to complete

NOTE: If your Avatar does not appear right away, please be patient as it may take a few minutes to publish.

Step 3: Click on the “Language” drop down list

Step 4: Select your language preference

Step 5: Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to complete

Step 3: Click on the “Time Zone” drop down list

Step 4: Select your time zone preference

Step 5: Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to complete

Step 3: Click on the “Date Format” drop down list

Step 4: Select your date format preference
